BEACON Pest Control was founded in Ocean Shores as a family business in November of 1989. With little more than experience, a 1965 Ford pickup and a lot of determination, Ed & Sheila Mitchell set out to build the kind of service company that anyone would be able to recommend to their closest friends and family with confidence. Sheila was born in Baltimore, MD. and grew up in her family's pest control company. She is a graduate of the American Banking institute and helped operate the family business as office |

manager and licensed service technician. She currently performs these same duties for BEACON Pest Control and holds a current Washington State operator license. Ed was born in Anchorage, AK and grew up in western Washington. He trained in chemical decontamination during an eight and a half year tour of duty in the Army and learned the pest control trade during a two year apprenticeship under Sheila's father in Baltimore. For two years prior to moving to Ocean Shores he was employed by Cascade pest control of Bellevue and was responsible for providing sales and services to their Bellevue and Mercer Island clients. BEACON Pest Control is expert service, timely advice and people who care about you while protecting your health, property and the environment. We constantly strive to be good neighbors and good stewards of the environment. To that end we regularly volunteer our time and resources to aid in the rescue of injured wildlife. As active members in the communities we serve we frequently assist State and Federal agencies and local law enforcement with wildlife monitoring, capture, triage and transport. BEACON Pest Control was built on the trust and confidence of your friends and neighbors. We continue to grow, providing services from Olympia to Ocean Shores to Forks. Today BEACON Pest Control is a well seasoned company providing some of the most advanced services in the industry.
