Ed Mitchell and Sheila Meadows met in Baltimore, Maryland, on Thanksgiving day in 1982. Ed was an Army sergeant trained as a diesel mechanic and cross-trained as a chemical decontamination tech. Sheila was her family’s pest control business manager and a bank reconciliation clerk.
Chance and circumstance brought these two together for a relationship that produced five successful children and lasted over 40 years.
At the time, neither imagined that their combined skills would give rise to the launch of BEACON Pest Control.
